There was notable movement in the most popular flavors for the alcoholic beverage category between 2021 and 2022.
Raspberry and Peach both jumped into the Top 5, with Raspberry taking over the #1 spot from Orange, while Vanilla and Lime both fell several spots.
This leap represents an overall trend of more traditional North American fruit and berry flavors such as Blackberry, Black Cherry, Apple and Huckleberry climbing the list.
Other notable climbers were Cake flavors, Lemonade and Peanut Butter, while Caramel, Mint, Pomegranate, Cucumber and Grapefruit fell several slots.
Some newcomers to the Top 40 include Piña Colada, Tangerine, Passionfruit, Cinnamon, and Butter.
Pear, Root Beer, Beer, Almond and Cola all fell out of the Top 40.
Will the more traditional fruity flavors continue to hold sway over 2022, or will brighter citrus and more exotic fruits and spice combos start mounting a comeback?
