All of us at Weber Flavors would like to wish our friend Yogi a very Happy retirement. He has been a fantastic asset to the company and a friendly face around the lab and office, quick to wish everyone a pleasant “Good Morning!” We will miss seeing him every day, but we know that he will still come to visit us. See below for his announcement from LinkedIn and feel free to visit that post here to wish him well.
After 43 years of a successful and rewarding career in the flavor industry, I have finally decided to retire, relax, and begin a new chapter in my life.
My retirement journey will officially begin on July 1, 2026.
I started my career as an R&D Flavor Scientist at Felton Worldwide in Brooklyn, New York, and I am concluding this remarkable journey at Weber Flavors in Wheeling, Illinois, where I have had the privilege of serving as a Senior Flavorist.
As I reflect on my career, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all my mentors, teachers, and guides for their invaluable support, encouragement, and wisdom. Their contributions helped me build a fulfilling and successful career as a flavor chemist.
A heartfelt thank you to all my colleagues and friends who have supported, encouraged, and inspired me throughout the years. Your friendship and camaraderie have made this journey truly special.
I am also sincerely grateful to the Society of Flavor Chemists, one of the world’s most respected technical organizations, for providing me with opportunities to learn, grow, contribute, and serve the flavor industry.
As I enter retirement, I look forward to spending more time with family and friends, enjoying life’s simple pleasures, and pursuing new interests. While I may be stepping away from my professional career, I plan to remain active, connected, and engaged with the many wonderful people I have met along the way.
I will miss all of you, but I am confident our paths will cross again in the future.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
Bye for now… and until we meet again.
