How long have you worked in the food industry and what led to you selling flavors? How long have you worked for Weber Flavors?

I have been in the food industry since 2016 when I worked in a small family owned taqueria during college. After graduating, I continued into the food and beverage industry, mostly as a “systems guy”, which is how I got started at Weber. They brought me on to help the sales department with preparing for a new system in March of 2019, and, after finishing that project, found a new position for me in the sample lab. Over the years I learned a tons about our product line and helped improve our processes. Ultimately what led me to selling flavors was a conversation I had with one of our sales reps who had also worked in our lab. We talked a few times and he inspired me to take the leap into sales too.

What is your favorite part of the territory you cover?

I really enjoy the rich history and diverse landscape of the region. There is something special about the endless historic locations, storied local communities, diverse cultures, and unique people around every corner that make the “Northeast” region unlike any other.

What’s one fun fact you wish your customers knew about you?

I have a secret love of aviation and even a few flight hours logged!

If you could describe your personality as a flavor, what would it be and why?

“There’s nothing vanilla about vanilla”. Vanilla may sound plain, but upon closer inspection you’ll find a diverse profile that is hard not to enjoy. It’s great as a standalone flavor, but it also compliments, balances, and elevates other flavors to boot!

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

I love a good mango ice cream. Bonus points for added tajin or even mangonada for that added savory and spicy twist!
